GEYSER

“[..] I see her [Aude Hérail Jäger] as a kind of haiku poet, skilfully scribbling down the results of an inner contemplation. The observations are partly conscious, partly subconscious. It might be an internal landscape she’s gazing into, or listening to, but the principle is the same. Besides, there is something universal about whatever it is she’s gazing at, just as mountains or blossom are universal.”

Extract from catalogue essay by David Lillington for SOLO exhibition ’Day by Day and Dot Drawings’ (Chelsea Arts Club, London, UK - November 2008)
